Between March 12-16, 2024, the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences (FPSE) of the University of Bucharest, through the Clinical Cognitive Sciences Laboratory, will organize the 6th edition of the event "Brain Awareness Week." The event coordinator is Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ioana Podina.

    "Brain Awareness Week" is an international campaign to raise awareness about advancements in the fields of sciences and neuroscience. The theme of this edition is "Brain and Traumaa" and features experts from fields such as psychology, biology, and neuroscience.

    The 13 lectures and workshops included in the program will discuss (a) the impact of sexual abuse on children, (b) the trauma of genetic illnesses, (c) the resilience of the human brain, (d) the science and pseudoscience of trauma, and the list goes on.

    The scheduled events will take place on-site (FPSE, Panduri 90), and the event is free of charge. All lectures and workshops are open to interested faculty members, students, and the general public.
