From March 12 to March 16, 2024, the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences (FPSE), at the University of Bucharest, through the Laboratory of Cognitive Clinical Sciences, will host the 6th edition of the event "Brain Awareness Week." The event coordinator is Associate Professor Dr. Ioana Podina.

"Brain Awareness Week" is an international campaign aimed at raising awareness about the latest advances in the fields of science and neuroscience. The theme of this edition is "Brain and Traumaa" featuring expert speakers from disciplines such as psychology, biology, and neuroscience.

The 13 lectures and workshops in the program will address topics such as (a) the impact of sexual abuse on children, (b) trauma related to genetic diseases, (c) the resilience of the human brain, (d) the science and pseudoscience of trauma, among others.

The scheduled events will take place on-site (FPSE, Panduri 90), and the event is free of charge. All lectures and workshops are open to interested faculty members, students, and the general public.
